Im starting to really fall in love with the simplicity of elopements. There is a romantic element that comes along with a small intimate crowd, soft spoken words and the focal point of the day remaining on just the bride and groom.

It gives the couple a chance to just focus on each other and a small number of guests, who were hand picked to be there, right from their heart. The guests usually include their parents, siblings and a few close friends.  It gives me a chance as a photographer to document the most important people of the day with much focus on the bride and groom… my favourite!

Katie and Jonathan traveled from Oklahoma to Niagara Falls, with just each set of their parents and on June 28th, the six of them stood together infront of the falls and witnessed as Katie and Jonathan committed themselves to a lifetime of forevers. During their ceremony they both presented a letter for one another, which was placed into a box with a bottle of wine. And on their fifth wedding anniversary, they will share the bottle of wine, read their handwritten letters from one another and bask in the memories of their promises. With love in my heart, I share a peek into their special day, their special moments, their love! Jessica, xo.
