Before my title of ‘photographer’ and up until this day, I have been working closing with individuals with special needs. I loved my job with the school board, where I worked with special needs students in the primary grades but hated the politics that came with the job, which took its toll on me the four years I was full time in that position! So in my decision to go back and study photography full time, I quit that monday-friday job!
I’d love to share with you all this small fusion piece I put together documenting our trip across Canada this […]
The day started with Danielle, her two Bridesmaids and her mother at Zexy Hair Salon in Hamilton where we would document the four of them having their hair and makeup done. It was a quiet, intimate start to the day. From the Salon we headed over to Paul’s parents house where the men were getting ready and suited up for the day.
Kelowna was a place my husband use to call home for a couple of years before meeting me. It was nice to meet some of his old friends, enjoy a couple of dinners out, ride our bikes along the lake and explore the lake on a boat one evening as the sun set behind us. It was a beautiful couple of days and I feel grateful to have seen and experienced Kelowna.
To say it was beautiful would be an understatement. To tell you how uplifted and inspired it made me feel… well there just wouldn’t be enough words to do just that. This trip has left me in awe of this beautiful country!
It started out as a trip to Calgary to visit my friends and then later through a lot of discussion turned into a three week adventure across this beautiful country.
